A modern office building at the corner of Luntmakargatan and Adolf Fredriks Kyrkogata in Stockholm. The building was constructed in 1985 with five floors above ground and two basements with garage.
Ecopilot® was installed as an over-modulation of the existing system. The property was a low consumption property before the installation. The property owner viewed the installation as a test of what Ecopilot® could do in a system which was already optimised, which however did not work with the building’s thermal storage capacity.
Heating: 13 kWh/m2
Cooling: 12 kWh/m2
Coal: 13.5 tonnes/year
13.5 tonnes CO2/year
The energy consumption of heating and cooling reduced by 24 per cent after installation of Ecopilot®. No other energy saving measures were taken in the property. The building now has energy consumption close to what can be classified as a passive house.
Moraset 24 now has a C-classification in accordance with the European standard for energy efficient buildings. This corresponds to 75–100 per cent of the new construction requirement for premises. Without an Ecopilot® installation, Moraset 24 would have a D-classification.
