Kanico – Textile Fashion Center
The property is a part of the historical industrial environment Simonsland in Borås city centre. Here creative businesses are given a unique opportunity to meet, develop and grow. A unique cluster which will put Borås on the map.
Assignment/solution
In connection with renovation of the old industrial buildings, the need for a new control and regulation system was identified. Parallel to this contract, we were assigned to install an Ecopilot® which through over-modulation of the newly installed system would continuously optimise the property’s energy consumption. Consequently a good indoor climate at a low cost would be attained.

Now the Ecopilot® and the new control system work together. The Ecopilot® continuously estimates the property’s optimal energy operating mode by taking into account internal user loads, external weather impact and thermal storage capacity. The result was a pleasant indoor environment and low energy consumption.
Energy classification
Textile Fashion Center now has a B-classification in accordance with the European standard for energy efficient buildings. This corresponds to 50–75 per cent of the new construction requirement for premises. Without an Ecopilot installation, Textile Fashion Center would have a C-classification.
